Winter in New England

The following images were taken when I first lived in the U.S.. I stayed for a semester in New Bedford, Massachussets, taking classes of Photo History at the University of Massachussets at Dartmouth.
My first winter in New England was terribly cruel and cold (both literally and metaphorically) for me.
The unexpected but unavoidable cultural shock, the language problem, and a certain feeling of loneliness, inspired these emotional and sometimes sad pictures from nature, which were later exhibited at the New Bedford Art Museum.
